Every month: what sold, what's owed, what's missing, and what to reorder.

What we take off your desk

The work behind the counter, done every week.

You keep selling. We keep the records straight, so you always know what you have, what you're owed and what you owe.

Stock and purchasing

Items, prices and stock levels kept current. Reorder lists, expiry and slow-moving stock flagged before they cost you.

eTIMS invoicing

Proper invoices for your business customers, with their KRA PIN, so their expenses validate and they keep buying from you.

M-Pesa and bank reconciliation

Till and bank statements matched against sales every week. Gaps found in days, not at the end of the year.

Suppliers and debtors

Supplier statements checked against your records. Credit customers tracked and reminded, politely and on time.

Monthly owner's report

One clear page: sales, margin, stock value, what's owed and what needs your decision. Ready for you and your accountant.

Hosting, backups and support

Your system hosted and monitored, backed up daily off-site, updated safely. One place to report problems and track fixes.

How it works

Keep your till. We start behind it.

No disruption at the counter. We set up the back office first and only change your point of sale if and when you want to.

Talk

A 20-minute visit or call. We learn how you buy, sell and get paid today, and what costs you the most time.

Set up

We load your items, suppliers and customers, brand your invoices and train your staff. Fixed quote, agreed start date.

Run

Weekly reconciliation, stock checks and supplier follow-up, then your monthly report. You decide; we keep it in order.

Who it's for

Busy owners with stock, suppliers and customers on credit.

Supermarkets and minimarts Hardware stores Agrovets Wholesalers Independent petrol stations Solar and electrical contractors
Already running
A supermarket in Eldoret runs its stock, quotations, delivery notes and sales orders on a system we set up, used daily by about 10 staff.
  • Connected to the shop's existing till, and kept working through a point-of-sale change.
  • Branded quotation, delivery note and sales order templates.
  • A mobile app that keeps working offline and syncs when the network returns.
  • Demos use a fictional shop. We never show one client's data to another.
Pricing

Clear prices, a fixed quote before any work.

Final prices depend on your number of items, branches and staff. You get it in writing before we start.

Straight answers

What we don't do.

We don't file your taxes.

Your accountant files. We keep the records clean, complete and ready for them.

We don't hold your data hostage.

It's your business record. Ask and you get a full export, whether you stay or leave.

We don't promise savings we can't measure.

We show you where the money and stock go. What you do with it is your call.

About

Benard Kimani, founder.

I build and run business systems. Since 2023 I've been the sole developer behind a 15-product software suite covering accounts, payments and multi-business hosting. I set up and look after the ERPNext system a supermarket in Eldoret uses every day, and I spent 19 months on solar installation sites, so I know how a shop floor and a job site actually work.

I hold a B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Moi University. BackDesk is based in Nyeri and works with businesses across Central Kenya, in person where it helps and remotely the rest of the time.
